Echo In The Darkness.

The continuing story…Echo in the darkness. Everyone thinks Hadassah is dead and her death has impacted the Valerians more than they ever imagined she could. Marcus is hit the hardest and after a long time of restlessness decides to go to Jerusalem. His purpose? To find out more about Hadassah's God. The great thing is that he found God on this journey. I must say it was a very touching experience. I almost cried as I read it.
Phoebe Valerian became a Christian after Hadassah died and now devoted her entire time to helping widows. She too went through her own trials but with God's help, she pulled through.
Hadassah stepped back into their lives and even the fiercest doubter is forced to acknowledge that Jesus is Lord. This is one of the best stories on forgiveness and real true love I’ve heard. It can only be the love of God. This story inspired me sooo much. Francine Rivers is the best.

A Voice In The Wind.

Voice In The Wind! What a book. In fact, the entire Mark Of The Lion series are wonderful. But hey, let me not get ahead of myself.
The Mark Of The Lion series written by Francine Rivers has three books:
Voice In The Wind; Echo In The Darkness; As Sure As Dawn.
I'm taking the first one first.A Voice In The Wind is all about a jewish girl, Hadassah, taken into captivity by the Romans after losing her entire family. On reaching Rome, she was admitted into the Valerian household, a very wealthy family.
Hadassah tried as much as possible to share her faith with this family she had come to love but it seemed the harder she tried, the more they pulled away. She went through so much and was tempted on every side to give up her belief in God for a "better life". Through it all she stood firm and practically paid with her life. But, the story doesn't end.
Then there's Atretes, a German barbarian captured by the Romans. In Rome, he was trained as a gladiator and became very popular in the arena. Still, he hated Romans. They had taken everything away from him. He longed for the day he would gain his freedom and return back to his home in Germania and kill as many Romans as he could. His paths crossed Hadassah and she impacted his life in a way nobody could have. But he didn't buy her God. He was later to think back on all Hadassah had spoken with him and make a decision that changed his life forever.
My favorite character is Marcus. Why? Well, I just love the way his character is potrayed. I guess I really liked how he was a big brother to his sister and though he wasn't a very good influence on her, he still tried to protect her.
This is a must-read for all lovers of christian fiction. It's absolutely the best.

What Harry Potter Books Are Really About!!
Harry Potter: A new twist to Witchcraft?
There has been a lot of speculation about Harry Potter books. Here's what some people had to say:
This page is for those who seek truth about the book series Harry Potter. Many think it is just harmless fantasy. True it is fantasy, but it is laced with witchcraft and demonology as are most books like it. Many say it gets children reading books who never would do so. I give you this tid-bit to ponder on. If your child did not like to take medicine and you had a chocolate drink with the medicine, plus arsenic in it, would you give it to them? You would if you did not know it was in there and what arsenic was. It is the same scenario with fantasy especially when it is laced with the poison of witchcraft.
Matthew 13: 9-16, who hath ears to hear, let him hear. And the disciples came, and said unto him, Why speakest thou unto them in parables? He answered and said unto them, because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given. For whosoever hath, to him shall be given, and he shall have more abundance: but whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken away even that he hath. Therefore speak I to them in parables: because they seeing see not; and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand. And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Esaias, which saith, By hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and shall not perceive: For this people's heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them. But blessed are your eyes, for they see: and your ears, for they hear.
Some of you see nothing wrong with a book about fantasy, mythology, or witchcraft and some of you so called believers will see nothing wrong with mixing the occult with God, and with that, I give you 1st Timothy 4:1-2.
1st. Timothy 4:1-2 Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;
There are many books out about Witchcraft but none so cleverly packaged like the latest. Satan is up to his old tricks again and the main focus is the children of the world. The latest craze is a series of books by author J. K. Rowling, known as Harry Potter.
The scramble to get the books is not just for children. Just as many adults are amused and are absorbing the content of these books. And what is sickening, Christians, or so-called Christians, are part of the fan club. I knew nothing of Harry Potter until mail started coming in asking if it was ok for teachers in Christian schools to be reading children books about mythology and witchcraft!!!! Did you read that correctly? In Christian schools!!!!!
Are we now so far gone that the church can't tell what Witchcraft is? Preachers are not doing what they are supposed to do. They are to expose this trash and inform the flock. But they join in the festivities and will not rock the boat. Halloween is accepted in the church and many of the so-called Christians fight hard when told they should not take part. Now just as Halloween is an abomination to God, so is writing books that glorify witchcraft or any kind of mythology.
The whole purpose of these books is to desensitize readers and introduce them to the occult. What a better way to introduce tolerance and acceptance of what God calls an abomination, then in children's books? If you can get them when they are young, then you have them for life. It’s the oldest marketing scheme there is.
Keep these books and their teachings from your child. It is supposed to be a 7 book series, which 3 have already been published. I will add more info about the author and the books as it comes to my attention. Some teachers are reading these books to their classes. They are pagans using the school system to spread their agenda. Your tax dollars are being used to promote Witchcraft and no one is coming against it. Now read a bible or mention Jesus in school and your locked up. Pagans state that theirs is a bona-fide religion with the same rights as Christianity. So why are they allowed to teach it in the schools?
What do you think about this? I think that the devil uses every chance he gets to get young people and he stops at nothing. Better to be safe than sorry.

Oceans Apart.

This is an incredibly inspiring story written by Karen Kingsbury. Its a story about a past mistake coming to light years after.
Connor was a happy man with a great wife and two little girls he loved very much. What else could a man want? Then, all of a sudden, he finds out he has a son from a woman he knew briefly over seven years ago. You're right, it was disastrous. And to make matters worse, the little boy was coming to stay with them for a while. The whole family almost fell apart. The little boy probably was a horribly spoiled brat...or so they thought. They were in for a shock. Matt was adorable. His mom brought him up so well that he was irresistable. He touched each and every one of thems lives. Still, it took all their will and the help of God alone to turn this disaster into something good.
My favorite character in this book is Matt. As I said, you can't help but like him. Even Mitchelle who tried so hard to hate him, when she really spoke to him just once, she was hooked. One of my favorite phrases comes from this book and it was Matt that said it. He said "Love happens when people forgive"...awwww...it's so true.
I also like Mitchelle alot though sometimes I got mad at her. What I love most about her was her selflessness. She was able to forget about what she wanted and think about what Connor wanted and agreed to have Matt live with them.
This book is a great book on forgiveness. Another thing I really love is how Matt stuck to all his mom taught him. I think Karen did a great job with this book.

Just Thinking!
I was thinking about ways to improve my site and someone reading my site asked me why I lumped the soon series and babylon rising series together. I couldn't find a suitable answer and thought it would be a good idea to take it one by one. After all, someone may not have read one of the series and may be curious. So, I'll back up in awhile and take it bit by bit. I'll do the same for Left behind series but not the kids series cos its too many books but we'll see.
Fish! for life.
This is the book in the fish series that talks about taking the fish philosophy home. It poses a real-life family and their experiences using the fish philosophy. The couple, Mary Jane and Lonnie were actually brought together by the fish philosophy. Mary Jane worked at this company and was having some problems. Frustrated one day, she wandered into the fish market were Lonnie worked. He helped her and told her about the fish philosophy. She readily tried it and...IT WORKED. Her job became a success, she got a promotion and as I mentioned earlier, she got married to Lonnie.
End of story? No! just the beginning. After a few years, she realised that her home life was not the way she wanted it at all. It was like she didn't have time for Lonnie and her kids anymore. In desperation, and with the encouragement of two friends, she decided to take the fish philosophy home. If could help her on her job, why not in her home? Did it work? Of course.
Her whole family pitched in to make it work. They applied all the four principles of Fish! They made sure that whatever they did was fun, they were there for each other, did things to brighten one anothers day and they chose their attitude. They saw positive effects almost immediately.
When I read this book through, I decided to try out the fish philosophy. In my opinion, its one of the best motivational books I've ever read. If you've never readthis books, rush to the bookstore closest to you. The books are awesome.

FISH!

FISH!? whats that all about? Well, for starters, its a philosophy, and has a series of incredible motivational books. I read this book out of sheer curiosity because I was wondering "what does fish have to do with motivating me? " I found out soon enough. Let me not get ahead of myself.
Fish! is a philosophy and the idea was inspired by Stephen Lundin along with John Christensen and Harry Paul. The Fish! philosophy is based on four basic principles:
Play- fun and lightheartedness
Make Their Day- a focus on engaing others in ways that lift their spirits
Be There- living in the present moment and giving others our full attention.
Choose Your Attitude- understanding that whatever attitude you are carrying with you right now, it's the one you're choosing.
There are four books in the series talking about this philosophy.
FISH!
FISH! Tales which is the stories of real companies and how the philosophy helped them
FISH! sticks whch answered questions regarding how to keep the philosophy alive for the long term.
FISH! for life which is a story of what can happen when FISH! goes home.
I have personally read FISH! tales and FISH! for life and i must say " they are incredible." I'm gonna talk about the books later, going into details with each of them.
